The Komen Race for the Cure 5k race takes place during the month of November at Balboa Park.  There are more that 14,000 people that participates locally and another 1.5 million people that participate in the Race for the Cure event worldwide.  This is a family friendly event, so all you competitive runners should look elsewhere. 

This 5k course in located in the historical Balboa Park, so there are some great scenic views throughout the 3.1 Miles.   The course is perfect for all ages, so don’t feel like you can’t run or walk this course.  After the 5k event, the sponsors put on a after-run event with great refreshments and entertainment. 

It costs around $30 to participate in this fun-packed running event if you register early and $35 on race day for all adults.
