San Diego Jingle Bell 5k Run/Walk running event takes place within Balboa Park, which is near Downtown San Diego.  The Jingle Bell 5k race supports the Arthitis Foundation and takes place during the month of December.  This 5k race is unique because runners have the opportunity to hear thousands of tiny bells as they run through the streets of San Diego.  This 5k run is definitely a must if you want to have a good time while running in the sun.

You'll also notice many San Diego running participants dressed up in festive costumes at this 5k race, which makes this race very festive.  The course takes you through Balboa Park.  Many beginner runners enjoy this course because it is only of the more fun runs in San Diego. 

If you are thinking about running a half marathon or full marathon and you've never participated in a race course, then you should consider this fun run.  The people are great and everyone is out to support the arthritis foundation.  Plus, it's a great way to shed some of that turkey dinner you  had 2 weeks prior to the run.
